Caroline Williams is a science writer specialising in neuroscience, psychology and health. She has a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London. She is the author of two books Override, and Move!, which was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Sports Performance Book of the Year' Award for 2022 and listed as a New Scientist Best Book of 2021. She also edited two of New Scientist’s Instant Expert Guides: How Your Brain Works and Your Conscious Mind and the ‘Bookazine’, The Essential Guide to the Brain.
As a former feature editor at New Scientist, she is still a regular contributor to the magazine, both as a writer and editor. Her written work has also appeared in The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph, BBC Future, BBC Earth and the Boston Globe among others. She is currently working on her third book.
